The 30,000' view... Professionally, I'm a software engineer by training. I've worked on 3D medical imaging systems, character and voice recognition systems, financial trading systems, etc. I am a big proponent of open source software, and have built many systems leveraging the power of FOSS. Currently, I am working as an enterprise architect at a major financial institution. When I'm not working, I try to vary my hobbies as much as possible to keep me interested. I'm an avid gadget guy - the geekier the better. Also, I've got 15 years of martial arts experience, I've raced open wheel cars, I play percussion, and most recently, I'm hooked on triathlons.
